Family Easter Lunch!

This afternoon we went to Ale for a nice family get together.
Maggi and mum had worked hard to put together all the nice food for us. Jakob had so much energy and did not sit still for very long at the time. Him and Moa had the best time running around playing.

Yummy dessert...

Isak happy as always.

After lunch we went to see the sheep and the lambs. Jakob loves being there! I think I have to take him to the riding club soon, haven't taken him there for a while.

Even Isak loved watching the sheep and the lambs and he wasn't scared at all.

For the first time ever Jakob was not scared of the 4 wheeler! Mikael took him and Moa for a ride and he loved it! He just wanted more and more and kept saying that next time we come to Ale he wants to have a go again.

Isak got to sit on it as well...

Tennis

Today has been another great Easter day. First of all I got a sleep in until 8! after that I had some quality time with the boys in the house and Adam went for a run. When he got back I went out for a walk/run, the first one this year, and it felt great!
Jakob got to try tennis with the nice boys across the road. He was SO proud and did not want to stop.

Home again

After being away it is always nice to come home again. Especially when the house is not a mess anymore.

Cabin life!

Good Friday we were invited to Zara's parents cabin to stay one night. We got there in the morning and joined the big family (all uncles and aunties and cousins etc) on the ice for the yearly ice fishing competition. I haven't done this for many many years so it really brought back some childhood memories for me. For Adam it was all a new thing and he got right in to it. You can spot him in the middle fishing in two holes at the same time.
Jakob and Finn enjoyed it too but weren't quite as patient as the adults. Running around on the ice and jumping in the puddles was more fun.

Lykke and Isak only spent a few minutes on the ice before Zara and I took them to a safer place.

A very happy Jakob holding a big Easter Egg that he found! Mummy I love lollies he told me a few times.

As always cabin life involves lots of eating and food tastes so much better when eaten outside than at home.

Isak is really an outdoor child, he seems to love crawling around outside. I wish he would start walking soon though.

Lykke and Isak.

FInn and Jakob going for a morning walk.

Zara and I joined them after a while and looked at some of the old buildings.

All 4 children playing on the veranda before we left at lunch time yesterday. We had a great time away with good company, nice food and very relaxing. We all went to bed before 10pm (the kids much earlier) after eating some more lollies and snacks.

Start of Easter

This Easter I haven't put an effort in to any form of Easter decorations. Jakob had made some at dagis, mum brought some wooden chickens and I found some Easter napkins in a drawer so at least we had something that made it feel like Easter for the first Easter evening on Thursday. Mum came over with some eggs for the children and had dinner with us.

Jakob and Isaks first bath together...

Isak started of quite calmly just sitting in the bath, watching Jakob and getting used to the water.
It didn't take long before Isak got more confident. He even fell backwards a couple of times getting his head under water but it didn't seem to bother him.

Jakob was old and mature but Isak got more and more wild in the bath.
He started standing up, jumping in the bath, sliding his feet in the bath loving it. The bath was a success for the kids!

New bahtroom!

Our bathroom is finally finished, it feels like getting the house back! we are really happy with the result. We still need to fix a few things like hooks for towels, a bin, soap container etc but at least the main things are finished and we can use it!!
We chose a bath where the outside is black.

The bath nearly ready for my first try! It felt amazing.

Renovations...

The last month our house has been a complete mess because of the bathroom renovations. The bathroom is in the middle of the house so when Leo (the guy doing the job) has been working it felt like the whole house was filled with tools and dirt.
Our sauna room where we normally shower has looked like this for 6 weeks!

Jakob quickly learnt that he wasn't allowed to be walking across the mess but Isak was painfully curious and wanted to spend every second where he was not allowed.

Sick angel!

This is what Jakob looked like tonight just a few minutes before he went to sleep on the couch with a wet towel on his forehead. He has been coughing a lot in the last few days and last night when I got back from work I took him to the doctor. She listened to his lungs and it all sounded good so hopefully just a cold that will be over soon. Jakob really wanted to go to the doctor, he was SO excited to go there and he did everything the female doctor told him to do and you could really see how much respect When she had checked him and was entering information to the computer I started putting his shoes on. Jakob stopped me and said: Mummy, did the doctor say I could put the shoes on? He was very cute. After the doctors we went to the chemist to get some medicin for his coughing and then the well behaved child was gone and he ran around touching things and throwing the little toy he got from the doctor all around the shop... Today he has been on the couch watching tv most of the day. He has had a fever the whole day and been very tired. Hopefully he will feel better tomorrow.

Bathroom...

This is what our bathroom looked like not that many days ago. Now we are not far away from being finished and we can't wait to get the house back to normal! the guy doing the renovations for us is doing a great job though and is working increadibly hard. He is now working all weekend to get it done before Easter. Poor guy was here until nearly 8 tonight (Saturday night).

Beautiful boys.

Jakob and Isak hanging out on the couch. More and more teeth are popping up in Isak's mouth but it doesn't seem to bother him too much. He has started waking up way too early in the mornings though... not long after 5 the last 3 mornings we can hear him talking through the monitor. And he doesn't want to go back to sleep. He can now finally walk. But he doesn't do it very often. I have seen him take 7-8 steps without problem but most of the time when you try to put him down on his feet he just curles his legs up and refuses to stand on his feet. He wants to keep crawling!

Storklinten

My brother and his family has parked their caravan at Storklinten for the season so we went to visit them and to ski of course last weekend. Storklinten is an hour from LuleƄ and a really nice family friendly place. I used to come her with my parents as a child but hasn't been back for probably 25 years (god that makes me sound old...). Moa had already learnt to ski by herself so I thought that would encourage Jakob to learn and want to try quicker. I was right. Jakob and I did one run with the harness before I took it off. After that he just knew how to do it! for the rest of the day he skied by himself!! It was amazing to watch him and he really really liked it for the first time. Adam and Jakob coming up the hill with the ski lift. They had one fall that I missed, could have been fun to watch I think. Jakob just went backwards between Adams legs I was told... Nobody hurt luckily.
Kids in front and the dad's after.
Here we go, faster and faster...
And even started doing some tricks...
