Birthday party!

Today we spent the afternoon at Alice birthday party. The weather went from sunny to raining to sunny and warm again so the kids played outside most of the afternoon after having some cake inside.
Maria and Andreas had organised lots of fun games for the kids.

Isak in the centre of the attention when the disco started!

If I put a pink dress on Isak he would look like a girl, don't you think?

Jakob who doesn't play with anyting but cars very often was very focused on dressing this doll.

Mormor and the children

Mormor came over in the afternoon the day after Midsummer and played with Jakob for a while.

Midsummers day Tivoli!!

Last year we spent a few hours at the tivoli the day after Midsummer and this year we did the same thing. Isak slept in the pram and Jakob got to do 5 different rides so he was happy.

I love tivolies just as much as Jakob and the best was when Jakob and I the cars when you crash in to each other all the time together. I was the driver and I was fearless! Jakob loved it :-)

The morning after

Isak slept until 8 and Jakob until 8.30 on Midsommer Day! Poor Adam got a message from work 00.15 that the girl that was supposed to work Saturday was sick. That meant that Adam had to leave work at 7 Saturday morning :-( He missed a really nice morning at home with friends.

Midsummer!

After last years Midsummer Party success at our place we decided to organise it this year as well. This year we ended up being 3 families with 2 kids each and everyone decided to stay the night which was really nice! Jakob was so excited to have so many friends staying over. The kids got to prepare their own dinner.

Special drinks and special glasses only on special days!

Isak and Meja

Adam had mowed the lawn in front of the soccer goal in preparation for the yearly game!

Isak playing his own games. He always just walks off quietly and it is very easy to lose him.

IIsaks first time on a swing!

I don't wear dresses very often but I really like this one!

The Custemo/Larsson family. Not easy to get them all to look in the camera at the same time.

Playing in the back yard.

Kids chilling on the couch after a long day!

Zara, Sara and I went for a nice walk just before midnight. The kids were in bed, we had just finished a nice dinner with lots of dessert and it was nice to get some fresh air. It wasn't as cold as it looks but I tried to protect myself from mosquitos!

Hägnan

Friday was Midsummer Eve in Sweden and for the third year in a row we went to Hägnan. Adam and Isak stayed home but Jakob and I picked up mormor on the way. It looked like it was going to start raining so we started off with a horse ride.

Then we had a pickning and just when we were finished it started raining so we went inside for a while and Jakob had an ice cream.

Because of the rain we didn't stay very long but Jakob got to go in a carriage behind a horse before we left. For the first time ever he did it all by himself!

Last day at dagis!

A few days ago Jakob had his last day at dagis! he is now on summer holidays for about 6 weeks. Isak and I rode the bike to dagis to pick Jakob up on his last day.

Jakob really loves dagis but I think it will be good for him with a break and nice for me to have him home as well. Here he is hugging Stina one of the ladies working at dagis. Next time we meet again is when Isak is starting to train being at dagis. Will be interesting to see how he goes....

A day at a cafe

Last week I finally went to Kolarnes cafe. It is a cafe 15 min outside Luleå by the river. I have heard a lot about it but never been there before. Anyway. last week after dropping Jakob at dagis, Isak and I met up with Carina and Nelly out there and spent a few hours in the sun eating, playing, talking and relaxing. A great day!

Jakob and Isak

When the boys are playing well together they are just so cute. And that is when I have time to take pictures. Most of the time they are pretty good to each other but there are a few things that they don't like. Isak can't stand when Jakob is sitting on my lap. He tries to get up in between us and wants to push Jakob off. Isak also goes crazy when Jakob takes his wrap that he sleeps with and loves cuddling with. Jakob on the other hand, doesn't like when Isak interrupt his games, walks over something he has built on the floor etc etc. Quite normal things for brothers to fight about I guess.

Jakob

Jakob is trying out more and more new words and also asking me for the meaning of some words. The other day he said to me: Mummy, if you can find my game that I have lost, I will be so proud of you. Yesterday when we were relaxing in front of the tv he said to me: Mummy, I am very hungry and stressed. Hmmm... hungry maybe but I am pretty sure he didn't know what stressed mean. I asked him and he said no so I tried to explain to him what it means. Then he said: Maybe I am just hungry. Today he also asked me what it means to hate someone and to be in love with someone.
I guess the questions from the children will only get harder and harder to answer when they get older. I struggle already and Jakob is only 4.

Cutie

Isak is just getting cuter and cuter and naughtier and naughtier. His latest favourite thing to do is to climb up on the kitchen table and empty the fruit bowl by throwing everything on the floor. Him falling down crying doesn't seem to stop him. If we are in another room he can all of a sudden start running and giggle at the same time, then we all know where he is going - to the table. He knows I don't like it and gets so crossed with me when I tell him off.

Karin

The hens night went really well and I think everyone, and especially Karin, had a great day and night. I didn't get home until 2am and of course Isak decided to wake up at 5.40 the next morning. He was a mess all morning though and managed to throw a bowl of yougert across the kitchen, fell and hurt himself about 10 times in an hour etc etc. I put him down again at 8.30 and he slept for over 3 hours poor thing.

Hens night

Last Saturday we had the surprise hens night for Karin (who is getting married to my cousin Andreas). Since Adam was working all day I didn't join the group until about 4 in the afternoon. Mum and Maggi were baby sitting and did a great job. They also took Jakob out for a couple of hours in the middle of the day, and was home with Isak in the afternoon when Jakob and I went to the riding club to watch some show jumping.
Maggi has played and played and played with Jakob and of course he loves it.

Summer!

The weather last week was amazing! Sunny and over 25 degrees for nearly a week. We have played in the back yard a lot, in the sandpit, with water, riding the bikes etc etc. Mormor has been over quite a bit and played with Jakob and Isak and also cleaned our windows! I wonder if I will ever grow up and learn how to do it myself.

Visiting a playground in the city.

Bike!

This is Jakob when he got to ride his bike to dagis for the first time. He was SO proud of himself and did really well. I took him once last week as well and it went well but is a bit scary. I am worried that he is going to lose his balance or lose focus and just fall in front of a car. You can see that he is too young to be out in traffic because he is looking more at things around him than on the road in front of him and the cars. And he talks non stop. We just have to keep practicing I guess and avoid lots of traffic.

Summer!

The last few days have been really sunny and warm so we have spent a lot of time outside. Today Jakob got to ride his bike to dagis for the first time. Adam was home all day so he took him there when I was home with Isak. It went really well and Jakob was extremly proud of himself. They rode through the school area and our neigbours child who goes to school said hello to Jakob when he came on his bike and that was probably the highlight of his day.

I spent the day in the city getting lots of things done. I ordered a new passport, sent a parcel overseas, bought a dress for the wedding I am going to in July, helped mum pick new glasses and bought some plants for my outside pots at home. It has been a good day!
