Felicia turning 9!

In only a few days it is Felicias 9th birthday and since we never get to celebrate it together we had a bit of an early celebration for her. Karin and the family came over for dinner last night and we sang happy birthday to her and she got to blow out 9 candles. Isak nearly had a breakdown because he also wanted to blow out candles, but that is a different story...

Yesterday was a busy day, I had to go in to work 3 times but managed to fit in Lucas birthday party and the dinner in between work. Adam was great as always fixing food and taking care of children.

The four of them playing games happily, it lasted for nearly 5 minutes, not bad!

Day 3

Last day in the cabin after a great trip with good weather, happy kids, nice company, fun skiing. Nothing to complain about other than that one more day would have been fun.

Isak and Felicia having a cuddle.

After the cuddle Isak gave Felicia a kiss, not sure if she liked it...
Anna on the other hand loooooved Isaks kisses.

The four beauties posing for the photo!

Isak got to try his slalom skis for the first time but I never managed to take a photo of him having them on. He loved wearing his ski boots and did not want to take them off. The actual skiing went better than expected. Adam or I had him either between our legs or were skiing next to him with a pole that he could hold on to. Not bad for a 2 year old!

In between skiing Iska was quite happy just playing in the snow. Taking a picture of Jakob and Felicia skiing was nearly impossible. They kept going from early morning and did not want to stop.

Anna also did really well on the skis. She never complained and she kept trying and trying. In the end she was quite comfortable skiing by herself in the smaller slope.

Time for a hug!

Vincent fixing some sausages for everyone!

Jakob having a very short break before getting back on the skis. He was extremly tired at the end of the day. Both him and Isak fell asleep in only a few minutes in the car on the way home.

Jakob and Isak were still very tired when we got home and chilled on the couch for a long time before they had energy to move.

Day 2

After a good night sleep (everyone slept well and no kids woke up during the night) the kids played in the cabin for a bit in the morning but at 9.30 we were all dressed up in our winter gear and out in the slopes.
After lunch in the cabin I stayed inside with Isak who needed a sleep and the other went back to the slopes. I thought Isak would freak out when everybody left the cabin, like he normally does at home when someone is leaving and he can't come. No need to be worry, as soon as I mentioned bedtime to Isak he ran over to "his" room, opened the door, climbed up on the bed and jumped in to the porta cot. Easy peasy. When Isak had his sleep I had a relaxing time on the couch enjoying the quiet after a very stressful week.

Anna and Isak cuddling.

Isak has always liked Karin!

Jakob and Anna slept on the loft both nights. I was very surprised that it worked so well. Jakob is not used to sleeping next to someone else so I thought he would wake up during the night or at least very early in the morning but it went very well.

Kids asleep means couch, sauna, lollies, red wine, snacks etc for us adults.

Day 1 of ski trip 1

This spring we have 4 ski trips planned in and last weekend was the first of them. We spent Thursday to Saturday in Storklinten with my old friend Karin (who now lives in France) and her family.
I left work just before lunch, went home and swapped car, from the empty one, to the one that Adam had spent the morning packing with skiis, food, clothes, porta cot etc etc. We picked the kids up from dagis and when we got to the cabin we had hired this is the view that met us. It was a really nice, cosy, modern cabin with 3 bedrooms and a loft and this amazing view. On top of that there were nearly no people at the ski resort so we spent the afternoon skiing and playing in the snow feeling like we had the whole place to ourselves.

Felicia is nearly 9 and Anna 4 1/2 but Anna loves babies and Jakob loves older children so he hung out a lot with Felicia and Anna took care of Isak.

Food time for hungry kids....

Isak, the little angel, gets very frustrated at times when nobody can understand him and nobody wants to play with him.

Isak!

Isak can now say one more word: Daddy! Finally he is saying something else than Mamma, Amma etc.
I ordered this balaklava for him through a guy from work and he loves it!
Isak all dressed up in pyjamas, balaklava and a tool belt, ready to go to bed.

Birthday Party!

Sunday afternoon last week we celebrated Helena who turned 38! her mum's birthday is the same day so the party was at their place about half an hour outside Luleå.

Isak, Moa and Lucas

Quality time

Adam was tired after his boys night so Jakob and I went out when Isak was due to have his sleep. We went to the toy shop so Jakob could spend his birthday money from Jason and Karen (thank you!). He knew what he wanted, hockey players, goals and some pucks. After a  hamburger at McDonalds he played Luleå Hockey for a long time!

Me and the boys!

Last weekend Adam had a boys trip to Jens cabin out on an island outside Luleå. I haven't been home by myself with Jakob and Isak for a long time and it felt quite special. Stina and Lova came over for dinner Saturday night and after they left Jakob got to stay up a bit later with me when Isak had gone to bed.

It snowed during the night but the next morning the sky was blue. We went outside and I shoveled the snow, Isak tried to put the snow back on the drive way and Jakob just played in the snow.

I wonder why it is so much more fun to shovel Isak than to help me shoveling the snow?

Isak skating

To keep the little freak Isak happy we bought him some second hand skates the other week and last weekend he got to try them for the first time. He was over the moon when he got them on!
He had no idea how to actually stand on the skates and he ended up just hanging in my arms. He was happy and I was exhausted after a minute trying to hold him up. Luckily he was quite happy to take them off after a while. At least he got to try.

Jakob's dagis friend Eddie and his big sister Tuva (who Jakob loves...) were at the skating rink and they all had great fun together. The ice rink is by the local school not far from where we live. Adam and I did some serious skating and competed across the rink lots of times. I won of course :-)

Hot chocolate and sandwhiches!

Busy busy

My life is pretty busy at the moment. Work, family, riding club etc etc. Adam is doing a great job with all the house work and he cooks dinner every day. He doesn't just cook the normal week day meals, he also makes the effert to try new recipes and make some dinners extra special. He is for sure on the plus list at the moment ;-) He also surprisde me with having fixed baby sitter (mum) the day before Valentines day so we could go to the movies.

One more tooth gone...

I forgot to say that Jakob had to pull out another toot a couple of days ago. I picked him up from dagis in the morning to take him and he was a bit sad and told me with his lips shivering and with read teary eyes that he didn't want to go to the dentist. I just felt so sorry for him. When we got there it all turned around and it went really well, he lays completley still when he gets his injections and just listens to everything the dentist says. Yesterday I took Jakob to the toy shop so he could pick a toy for all the money the tooth fairy has given him latley. I was sure he would pick a car but no, he picked two white tigers, one of them was a baby tiger.

The party continues...

When the children's friends and our friends left it was time for the next lot of visitors to arrive. This time it was all the relatives, mormor, Maggi and Åke, Anders and the family, Åsa and the family and Andreas and Karin. Jakob and Isak got even more great presents, one was this soft and nice Luleå hockey blanket, what a lucky boy Jakob was!

Jakob and Moa played and had really fun all night!

Poor little Vilmer was a bit upset in the beginning but at the end of the party he was all happy again! At least I know now that he can cry, don't think I have seen that side to him before.

 Carina and super cute Nelly!

In the evening we were 18 people here (including children) so that meant a bit of chaos even though I have to say it went really well. We took turns eating and some sat in the living room and some at the kitchen table and I think everyone had a good time. Nice to have everyone on my side of the family together like this, doesn't happen so often. Just a bit sad that dad is not with us anymore :-(

At the end of today we had two very happy and tired boys and to tired parents who will all sleep well after a great weekend!
