La Morra

Late lunch in La Morra

This place was only rented out as a whole house but the owner, also had another B&B just walking distance from this place, where we decided to stay. It was not only really nice, it also gave us free access to this swimming pool!

If I every go to this part of Italy again travelling with a couple of families this would be the place to stay!

When the boys went wine tasting Zara and I spent the afternoon by the pool. Day 3 of our holiday and still nothing to complain about!

Not bad?

Once again we had a stunning view from our room in La Morra.

Zara and Micke waiting with a bottle of wine!

I think all we did on this trip was to eat and drink!

Adam was invited to the wine celler of the place where we had dinner. I had to drag him out...

Some bottles in there where very old.

Zara and I were more interested in drinking the wine than looking!

Barolo

On the road again heading toward the village of Barolo.

Barolo was another cute little town but not amazing so after a walk around we were quite satisfied and ready to leave.

Good morning!

This was the view from our balcony when we woke up the next morning.

What an amazing place and we were so lucky to find it without really looking.

After breakfast I went for a walk by myself in the little village that looked different from the night before.

Saturday market!

Breakfast in France, lunch in Monaco, dinner in Italy

After a train ride to Savona in Italy, and a lot of walking around trying to find the Hertz office in Savona (most of us getting quite tired and grumpy) we finally got our hire car for the next four days and left the coast and started driving north up through the hills.

After an hour we decided to start looking for a B&B and only a couple of minutes later this place turned up around the corner. Since the owner had to get the rooms ready for us and it was getting late (meaning we were hungry) we took a walk up to the little village to find a place to eat.

The little pizza place we found was much nicer than it looks in the pic and the food was great.

And the wine...

We ended the night ordering this to the room...

Bye bye France

After one night in France we jumped on the bus to Monaco.

Pretty stunning view from the bus window.

Still admiring the view standing in a hot bus...

Monaco! Adam has always wanted to see Monaco so here we go! Zara very nicely watched everyones bags while the rest of us went for a walk along the marina and up the hill to the casion.

Monaco is quite impressive and spending a few hours there is nice, but I felt happy to leave after walking around in the heat looking at expensive boats and houses and eating an average lunch.

Holidays!

Last year Adam and I went to New York with Zara and Micke while Adams parents looked after Jakob and Isak. This summer we decided to go to Italy together. Our first stop was France though, we flew to Nice and had a great afternoon, night and morning there.

First lunch and first of many glasses of wine!

Not really what we had planned, but we just couldn't resist a swim in the ocean.

We were lucky to pick a really nice, not so touristy, place for dinner.

Nice by night!

Cuddling on the couch

Jakob and Isak love their grandparents!

Riding club party!

Luleå Riding Club moved to a new location and new bulidings nearly 20 years ago but the memories from the old place are many. This summer a few girls organised a big party for everyone that was active at the riding club during the years before the big move. The old stables had been hired so everything was perfect for a success. Those of us who were there I think all had an amazing time. A night to remember for a long time.

Nice photos

Just a couple of nice photos of our beautiful boys!

Klubbviken

Grandma and Poppa were here for the fourth time but we have never taken the boat out to Klubbviken before. I love being out in the archipelago and always wonder why we don't go more often.

The kids loved it too and even though the air was quite fresh and not really warm enough for swimming they had a great time!
