Tough night...

After a very good first night at home Viktor had a very bad second night. He was really unhappy in the evening and kept waking up all evening and night and was only happy when he was on my breast. I tried everything but nothing seemed to help, I think he had som pain in his belly as well because he was farting and doing small poos throughout the night. Adam took him for a while in the morning so I could get some more sleep, Before he left to go to work taking both big boys with him. Viktor kept being unhappy all morning and cried as soon as I stopped feeding him. In the end he fell asleep in a baby chair crying when I had put him down to get dressed. Poor Little angel, we are all hoping for a better night tonight.

 

After a bad start of the day the rest of the day went well. Viktor and I went in to the city to meet up with mormor for a fika and he got to try the pram for the first time. He was happy in it for about 5 minutes when he started crying and didn't stop until we were in the cafe and he got a feed. After that he slept on my arm, then stayed asleep when back in the pram, kept sleeping in the car driving home and for a bit longer in the carseat. Very nice. After that he woke up quite happy and has been for the rest of the evening.

 

Viktor was even happy watching Jakob and Isak play memory for a little while.

Jakob is being an amazing big brother to Viktor. Tonight when I was holding him and needed to help Isak to put on his PJ´s Jakob said that he could take Viktor. He held him beautifully for a long time.

 

 

Friday night with the family visiting!

Friday late afternoon mormor, Anders, Helena, Moa and Lucas came over to meet the new addition to the family.

 

 

Mum brought some really nice flowers.

 

And a yummy cake!

And some soccer gloves for Jakob, a fill in book for Isak and a new memory game for both of them! The two big boys were very happy.

Anders and Helena got to see Viktor when he was happy most part of their visit even though he started getting a bit upset at the end of their stay. Viktor got some really nice new clothes and Jakob and Isak got new water guns, I have a feeling they are going to be used a lot this summer!

Everyone got to have cake before dinner, very crazy and exciting!

First day at home!

The first night at home went really well, the second night went really badly. I will write more about that later...

 

After the first night I had to wake Viktor up around 8:30 to give him a feed Before heading back to the hosptial for his last doctors appointment. It all went well, the wake up, the feed, the car ride and the doctors appointment. We even stopped and did some grocery shopping on the way home and Viktor slept through it all.

When we got home Zara came over for a quick cuddle (Micke came past too) and after that Little Viktor was a bit cranky.

After a bit of crying he went in to a deep sleep so I took the chance to do some non-baby stuff.

Jakob and Isak were very excited to meet Viktor again when coming home from dagis.

Jakob is a little bit more interested than Isak, who probably thinks Viktor is pretty boring.

We were only meant to stay in the hospital for one night but at the doctors check up in the afternoon they though he looked yellow and wanted to test his blood. The result from that didn't come until around 7pm and by then Adam was home putting the kids to bed. The result came back good but we stayed Another night.

 

The second night was much better than the first night! we both woke up feeling good!

Viktor is already showing signs of wanting to have 2 fingers in his mouth, just like his big brother Isak...

 

Outside the hospital. When Isak was born about 3 years and 3 months ago it was -15 degrees when leaving the hospital. This time it was +22.

Viktor awake and asleep...

Monday I finally started feeling that something was about to happen. I had the show in the morning and had the odd contraction during the day. I told Adam to go to work because I didn't Think it would happen quickly and I spent the day resting, eating, cleaning and grocery shopping. After midnight I felt that the contractions were starting to become regular and at that stage they were about 9 minutes apart. 4 in the morning about 6 minutes apart and at 5 I called mum and Maggi to come over. When we left for the hopsital they came about every 5 minutes.

In the hospital they started to monitor the hearbeat and at one stage it dropped a lot and I was told to change position to see if it made a difference, which it did. At 7.20 I was 5 cm open and the contractions started to come more often and were stronger. After Another hour they got stronger and I started to get a feeling it wasn't going to be long Before he was out. The midwife checked his heartbeat again and they were getting low and she said he has to come out soon. I was 10cm but he had not come down far enough to give me pushing contractions so I was told to push when I had my next contraction. It all Went well and I pushed him all the way to the entrance and in the next contraction he was out, all tangled up in the cord but Crying and looking well.
