Viktor 4 weeks

Viktor is now just over 4 weeks old. So what can I say about this little man? he still has some bad days and some good days but I think it is all getting a bit easier. During the days he has actually been pretty good especially if out and about. He sleeps really well in the car seat and as long as I feed him when he is hungry he is quite happy. Between 5and 7 pm he is often quite upset and goes from being calm for a few minutes to crying. I get through it by feeding him a lot and carrying him a lot but try to put him down as often as I can since it is hard to look after the big ones and getting them to bed when having to carry Viktor. It is going quite well. I put Viktor to bed around 7 and often he goes to sleep straight away but wakes up after 40 min and is very hard to settle again. He cries with his eyes closed and only sometimes relaxes in our arms. It looks like he goes to sleep but as soon as we try to put him down he starts crying again. This can go on for hours when he only sleeps for a short time and starts crying again. I have worked hard the last few days with helping him to fall asleep by himself during the days and I think it is now helping him at night. This morning he was wide awake when I put him down for a sleep and fell asleep all by himself, and happy. The same when having lunch in the city, I put  him down awake in the pram in the cafe and with no rocking he went to sleep. This would not have worked only a few days ago. Last night he slept really well and tonight he also went to sleep quickly and still hasn't woken up 2 hours later. I am really hoping that it will continue like this...

Today he smiled for the first time! he was on the changing table and was wide awake when I took his hands and looked at him and smiled, he looked straight back at me and smiled back! there is something special about that first smile :-)

Soccer school!

Finally Jakob is old enough to join the yearly 4 day soccer school in Luleå. Today was the third day and he is loving it. In the afternoon all the children took a bus ride to a big soccer field in Luleå where all children from the soccer clubs around Luleå gathered for a parade.

Anders, Helena and mormor were also there to watch Moa and Jakob.

Holding hands with his Axel, his friend from dagis.

Moa!

After the parade they got to watch a 14 year old boy play with a ball, he was amazing!

At the end they all got ice cream, a drink and some cake.

Viktor slept through it all!

Piteå

On Sunday all of us spent the day in Piteå.

The main reason for going there was to buy a new second hand bike for Jakob!

After picking up the bike we went to the caravan park in Piteå, Jakob and Isak loved the big playground!

A good place to try the new bike!

Isak also got to try the pram where Isak is asleep sort of behind/under him. It worked well (at least when Viktor is sleeping) and the pram was really easy to push.

Jakob really wanted to have a swim (it was sunny but quite cold...) and not sure how it all happened but all of a sudden Adam and Isak were also in the water in only their undies (no photos of Adam...).

Two cold boys watching their crazy dad running around in undies.

All three boys slept all the way home in the car and were quite sleepy and tired when we got home. I was too.

Outing with all three of them...

On Saturday I took the boys out by myself. We went to Hertsö Miljögård to look at the animals and to have ice cream!

Jakob loved the rabbits.

Some cute photos of Isak and Viktor...

The boys...

So far Jakob and Isak don't seem to be jealous of Viktor at all and they are very understanding when I can't be with them because of Viktor. The only problem is that they often figth about who is going to get to hold Viktor first, who can sit next to me when I am feeding Viktor (both want to sit on the side where his head is) etc etc.

Jakob and Viktor

Jakob is getting more and more confident with Viktor (sometimes too confident...) and is really helpful most of the time.

Visitors...

Last week Mikael, Vilmer and Åsa came over to see Viktor. Jakob talked Mikael in to playing some floor ball with him and of course little Vilmer wanted to join even though I think the sandpit was his favourite.

Nelly and Carina also came over for a play!

Children...

The other night Adam gave Viktor his first bath. He was very unhappy before the bath but calmed down not long after Adam put him in the water. It was nice to see how he relaxed and enjoyed it. It only lasted for a minute or so, but it was a nice minute!

Jessicas funeral

In December last year Jessica passed away from cancer, only 41 years old. I know Jessica from the riding club, and she also rented and apartment in my parents house many years ago after my grandmother who used to live in it died. Jessica also worked as a carer for my grandmother before she died so she knew my whole family. The funeral was very sad but also very beautiful.

Viktor all dressed up for the funeral. He must be taking after me a bit, liking being out and about doing stuff because as always when we are out he is happy.

After the ceremony we were invited to a buffe meal at a hotel in the city and later on 8 of us girls from the riding club who were friends with Jessica went out for dinner together. Only 2 of us live in Luleå today, the rest had travelled to Luleå for the funeral. We thought it was a good opportunity to get together and end a sad day with something fun! just wish that Jessica had been there with us...

Viktor started to cry when my meal came out but when I handed him over to Lisa so that I could cut up my meat, and eat with one hand while holding Viktor, he stopped crying straight away so Lisa very nicely held him so I could eat.

Viktor went in to a really deep sleep in Lisas arms so after a while she could put him in the pram and he slept there for the rest of the night.
When the other girls went to the boat to spend the rest of the night there Viktor and I went home after joining them for a while in the line up to get in. The evening was absolutley beautiful with the midnight sun and just over 20 degrees!
