Kurre and Gerd

Only a couple of weeks ago Kurre passed away after being in the hospital for about a month. This photo is taken nearly a year ago when we celebrated Gerd on her birthday. Kurre is the man on the left in the Picture.
Earlier this week Gerd was starting to show signs that she was coming to the end as well. Mum and I went to see her and she was awake when we were there. Today Gerd passed away only a couple of weeks after Kurre. Kurre was married to Gerd's sister Gun.
Kurre and Gerd have both had long good lives. They have been part of my Life for as long as I can remember and even though I haven't seen them or spent time with them so much in the last few years they will be missed. Gerd and also Gun are cousins to my dad.

Viktor 10 months

Viktor is now a bit over 10 months. He loves having a bath especially with his big brothers and he often does a number 2 in the bath. Isak is brave getting in there with him.

He is very cuddly and what he likes the most is me stadning up, holding him and Walking around. Sometimes it is ok for me to stand still but as soon as I sit down he gets grizzly. And if I put him on the floor he freaks out. It is not quite that bad... he have times when he plays really well by himself and also when he is happy crawling all over me when sitting on the sofa, but if Viktor gets to chose, I Think he would prefer me Walking around with him on my hip from morning til night.

Viktor´s 7th tooth is starting to pop up!

A couple of weeks ago I stopped breastfeeding. In the end I was only feeding him once every night, around 4 in the morning, and giving it up wasn't hard at all. Not for Viktor, I felt a bit sad knowing that I will probably never have a Little baby again. The only issue with this is that Viktor has become a Jakob when it comes to waking up in the morning. Between 5-5:30 is now our normal Wake up time. Adam and I take turns which helps but no matter what, that time in the morning we should all be asleep. I guess I just have to get used to the fact that it is going to be like this for the next few years now.

New friends

Latley we have become friends with one of the local hockey players and his girlfriend. He is from Canada and she is from the States. The kids love spending time with them and Chris is Always up for a game of floor ball.

They also have a very cute dog. Viktor got crazy when she came over to visit and kept crawling after her giggling. Isak is a bit scared but keep saying that he is not.

Two lucky boys together with their big idol!

Another Tuesday...

My Tuesday day off normally starts with a quiet morning doing some housework and playing with Viktor and Isak.

When Viktor goes down for his morning sleep I often have some Isak and mummy time, starting with playing games, and after that having a little nap on the sofa.

Isak often falls asleep, he just loves sleeping! I love it too and try to have a rest to if I can!

Sometimes he just relaxes. Isak has Always had the ability to just be. He doesn't need the tv on or be talking to someone. He can just sit and do nothing.

Earlier this week Isak spent the afternoon with mormor doing some baking etc.

The library - again...

Going to the library is one of my favourite thing to do with the kids. Don't know why because they are not very interested in reading but I like the building and somehow we manage to stay there for quite a while without doing much.

A visit to the library also means a visit to the cafe in the same building.

Soccer shoes

A couple of weeks ago Adam came home with a pair of soccer shoes that he had bought on the sales for Isak. Isak got so excited and didn't want to get changed in to pj´s until I promised him that he could sleep with the shoes on. He was a very happy boy when he Went to bed that night. The next morning the shoes sat neatly on the floor next to the bed. Isak told me that not long after he Went to bed he took them off becuase it wasn't very comfortable sleeping with them on. I am glad I didn't take the fight telling him that he wasn't allowed to sleep with them on.

Hockery freaks!

As you all probably know by now Jakob is crazy about ice hockey. His best friend Linus also loves it. These photos were taken at their last hockey training.

Tired boys after a full hour of training.

My Tuesday with the children

Another great Tuesday home and this time Jakob joined me and Isak and Viktor because of school holidays.

We had a nice morning at home with creative kids drawing, building puzzles and making snow stars.

After lunch we all went to the cafe in the library building to have a "semla". It is a traditional sweet bun with cream. Isak was all excited about trying his first ever semla but ended up picking something completley different. Oh well, Jakob and I ate one each, yummy!

Carina, Mika and Nelly joined us!

Jakob is doing great taking care of Viktor as always!

Mika is only 2 months younger than Viktor and they are going to become best friends ;-)

Because of school holidays the library had set up a room with floor ball equipment and an ice hockey game. The big boys have never loved the library as much as today!
On the way home we picked up his friend Herman who came over to play and also Axel came to play a bit later. To sum it all up, a great quality day with Jakob, Isak and Viktor and friends coming over to play in the evening.

I can't get enough of him!

Viktor is getting cuter by the minute and I just can't get enough of him!

Drawings

Isak's and Jakob's view of our family!

I am the one on the left in red and Adam is next to me. According to Isak

I was supposed to be Adam but when Jakob finished he realised that I was bigger than Adam and decided to swap.

Skiing

After weeks of talking about it and thinking about it I finally did it. I took the big boys skiing. My plan was to just take Isak and start training him but Jakob really wanted to come too so the Three of us Went.

After a nice car ride we put all the gear on and Isak and I worked really hard for a few hours while Jakob skied with uncle Anders and by himself. Isak did SO well. If he fell he was quick to say that It's ok Mummy and up he was again. Once he fell so he was bleeding from his mouth and all he said was Mummy this time it didn't go so well! but he was quickly up again and wanted to keep going. I was very impressed by him and I was very tired at the end of the day. We had lunch with Anders and Helena in the Caravan Before going back to the slopes and at the end of the day when Isak finally said that he had had enough, Jakob and I had 2 runs together while Isak was in the Caravan. Jakob did great as well, being the first time this season, and he also learnt to take the lift all by himself without any help!

There are Always lots of raindeers in the area and as always we saw a few of them on the way there and on the way home.

Bathtime...

Cheeky sausage

Viktor looooves carwling up the stairs and he knows he is a bit cheeky.

On the move...

Viktor learnt to stand up by himself a couple of months ago and he can also walk along a table but I hope walking all by himself is still a while away...
