We have now had Isak home for 2 days. It is amazing how quickly you forget, I can't really remember what it was like being pregnant :-)
First night at home was pretty hard, it felt like all I was doing all night was trying to get him to sleep. Tried different positions, angles, places, constant feeding, walking, rocking etc etc. He was quite happy, just didn't want to sleep. Luckily he had a 4 hour nap between 8-12 so I slept for a few hours too and felt like a new person after. Tuesday evening we had the first visitors, my brother with his family. They brought some very nice gifts for the baby and also for Jakob.
Last night was much better. Isak went to sleep at 9.30 and slept until 2.15, I was extremly happy with that! getting him back to sleep was not easy and took over an hour but once asleep he slept until 6.30, not bad. For me getting those hours of sleep last night gave me so much energy, I have been feeling so good today.
In the morning we had an appointment with a doctor at the hospital. It didn't take more than about 10 minutes and everything is looking good. He has put on about 130 grams since he was born which is great. The rest of the day we spent at home, I did some cleaning, went for a short walk in the beautiful sunny winter weather and I also shoveled the drive way. It felt great to get some fresh air. Carina came over to meet Isak and had dinner with us, and a bit later Stina, Martin and Lova came over to visit.
So far so good and we love having Isak with us. He is so cute, when he is awake he is SO awake and really looks at you, he reminds me a lot of Jakob. Like most babies he likes being carried around a lot and he loves drinking milk!! Adam and I really enjoy having this time at home just spending time together without too many things to do apart from being with the kids.
Time to get ready for bed. Isak is asleep and I should be to... don't know what the third night at home has to offer :-)
