Isak eating and other things...

After lunch at home we went to the riding club with Karin and the family. When we got home Jakob went over to Filip to play and a bit later he came over to us. After Isak wen to bed I went to mum and dads and mum and I spent a couple of hours making baby food. Isak is doing really well with his food.

He is now eating potatoes, carrots, parsnip, broccoli, banana, pear, apple and porridge. He always opens his mouth but even though quite a bit seems to be going down his throat there is a lot in his face, on his clothes, on the table and on the floor after a meal. I can't remember Jakob being that messy? but on the other hand I remember that he wasn't so interested in food at 6 months age.
Checking out the spoon. I wonder how long it will take until he will need glasses...

Isak is still a very happy child and smiles and laughs a lot. The last couple of nights I have only been feeding him ones so I hope this is a new trend. A couple of nights ago he woke up before 11p, something that has not happened for a long time. Didn't really know what to do and it was very tempting to feed him but I decided not to since I was pretty sure he wasn't hungry. He went back to sleep without crying after about 45 minutes. Not sure why he woke up. Still no teeth that I can see but he dribbles all the time (and has done for 3 months so I don't believe that is a sign of teeth coming) and he bites and chews on everything around him.
Yesterday Jakob started child care again and he was very excited. A bit shy when we first got there but after a couple of minutes he was playing happily. None of his best friends are back yet and there are only 6 children there this week but I think it is quite good for him with a quiet start. I stayed for about half an hour (had to feed Isak) and he hardly had time to say good bye when I left. My plan was to go to the city but instead I went grocery shopping and when Isak went to bed when we got home I placed myself on the couch with a book, a blanket and some lollies. After reading for about 20 minutes I fell asleep, it was so nice!!! Isak slept for 2 1/2 hours so I was not the only one being tired.
